The Mermaid Project
![]() Barnum's FlierIn 1865, on June 16th Barnum, a collector of artifacts and people of interest, (a freak show host essentially), advertised with this flier a real mermaid. Although not alive the mermaid here is eerily similar to the one depicted in scans from the carcass in South Africa. Unfortunately there was a massive fire on the 14th June, and the museum burned to the ground. | ![]() The Body (reconstruction)This is the reconstruction of the pieces found in the belly of a Great White shark in 2012 off the coast of south Africa after the mass whale beachings. The subjects died from severe onslaught of sonar. This body was found before the government could remove it (which the eventually did.) | ![]() Barnum's Photograph (Prof. inserted)This picture was taken in 1865 of the mermaid display. It has clearly been patched up across the definite ridge mermaids have - this ridge allows them to communicate with sonic language. the creature has been damaged, but surprisingly it's so clear and similar to that which was constructed using the body found in S.A. |

![]() Spear found in a fish.Fishermen throughout history have found these. Spear heads made from coral, rock and stingray barbs, embedded in fish, whales and sharks, and not just in the shallows, but in deep, open waters. | ![]() Spears in a Shark carcass. These men hauled onshore this shark, clearly pierced all over with primitive spears. | ![]() Italian drawingThis drawing was originally thought to be of a human birth defect anomaly, however, upon discovery of the recent body, as well as the Barnum's photographs, this renaissance Italian sketch along with its counterparts, clearly resembles the mermaids we've found and seen. |
![]() Barnum's Photograph 2A close up of the hand of the Mermaid on display in 1865 at Barnum's American Museum of human curiosities. The hand is webbed. Mermaids are like us in that they use their fingers and hands to make tools. |
